Alan (Guitar Tutor Man).
Hi Alan.. I found your videos by accident looking for guitar instructional videos and i must say you have the best way of making learning fun!! Although i started playing guitar way back in 2000 i was always comparing myself with others and then i stopped playing altogether in 2003. It wasn’t until i married and had a son (around six years ago) that i started playing again. I even took up flamenco guitar but happened to be unlucky enough to have a teacher with no patience. So i quit again thinking that i couldn’t ever get myself to play well. Finally around a few months ago i saw that my son was starting to get interested in music and i felt that it would be nice if he could hear me play so it would perk up his interest. And i realized that it would be useless to again compare myself to other players. Personally now i don’t really care if all i can do is just strum the guitar and fingerpick a little… If i never get to play insane lead guitar.. Then that’s alright. Important thing is having fun. Just in time i found your videos and now it is fun starting all over again. I’m a very busy man but i set aside around an hour a day to get in some practice time and i actually can see and feel progress!! Even my son enjoys your videos and i have no doubt he will be taking up the guitar soon.
Godbless and i hope you continue making more fantastic videos..
Hi Joey, thanks for your kind words. I am really glad my videos are helping your motivation and I hope your enthusiasm is passed on to your son, playing music is great for the soul.
Best wishes now and for the future.
Thanks for your support.

Hi Alan,
I have subscribed to your videos on You Tube a couple of days ago.
I want to let you know, that I should have a Pay Pal account, but I can’t seem to access the account.I will have to make an effort to do so,at a later date.
I am not very computer savvy,so it is difficult for me getting things done in a hurry.
I do have a guitar,it is a Washburn Acoustic guitar,with a Dean Markley pickup.
I do know some chords, but not as much as I should. I like trying to play along with songs, like picking some base notes, and playing the melody.
Until I am able to get on line again,I will check out your playing,as you seem to be a good teacher, and your website,I am sure is tops.
Bye for now,Tony.
Cheers mate! Thanks a lot for making my lonely days so much better. The guitar is the best anti-depressant out there. 🙂
You are welcome Roberto, cheers – Alan 🙂
